If you are considering a new computer and/or upgrading your operating system to Windows 7 and wish to continue running Centre Manager on that computer, you will need to use the 32 bit version of Windows 7. After testing, we have determined that Centre Manager will operate with the 32 bit version but not the 64 bit version of  Windows 7.

Reinstalling Centre Manager on a New Computer

  1. From the old computer, backup the Centre Manager data file onto a floppy disk using the Backup/Restore feature in Centre Manager (see the Centre Manager Getting Started or Help for more information or the Backups page).
  2. From the old computer, backup the system.mda file that stores security information onto a floppy disk (see the Centre Manager Getting Started or Help for more information).
  3. Install Centre Manager on the new computer using your Centre Manager installation disk set and following the directions in the Centre Manager Getting Started or Help.
  4. On the new computer, using My Computer or File Manager or Windows Explorer, locate the drive where Centre Manager is installed (likely c:\cntresln).

  7. Apply the Version F update (update.exe). This is a very important update for all centres using Centre Manager Pro.
  8. Open Centre Manager using the user name Director and the password Centre Manager. Be sure to type the password exactly as it appears, with capitals and spaces.
